Early in my senior year of high school, my Latin American History class covered the Aztec Empire. Its notions of human sacrifice interested me and two friends of mine, Jared and Tom. Tom was a big guy – tall, big hands, big feet, big appetite. I dashed off this adventure involving the three of us whenever there was downtime during the school day.
